We are part of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global community of medical specialty camps founded by Paul Newman. He believed that kids with serious illnesses needed a place to “kick back and raise a little hell.” And we couldn’t agree more.

Today is National Nonprofit Day, and as a nonprofit Camp, we really truly could not do it without our superhero volunteers! All our volunteers play a critical role in making camp happen. ❤️ This summer, we had 211 volunteer experiences to support our Summer Camp sessions (with countless more throughout the year supporting Family Camp, events, Howdy Hangouts, Reset & Refresh, and more)! 👏
From cabin nurses to facilities, and every role in between, each volunteer makes a lasting impact in the lives of children with life-altering diagnoses. Our volunteers R-O-C-K and we`re so thankful for all they do! ⭐

Flying into Roundup River Ranch is our new Administrative Operations Coordinator, Olivia! 👏 And she’s no stranger to the power of camp – she grew up going in Northern Minnesota and even volunteered at one of our Summer Camp sessions!
“Camp encouraged me to challenge myself, grow new interests and hobbies, and showed me true role models and friendship,” Olivia said. “I`ve always loved working with children, and this gave me the opportunity to combine several passions: helping others, going to camp, and working with kids.”
As a volunteer, Olivia mentioned that “every wave on the path, every smile in the cookhouse, and every song and dance move throughout camp filled me with so much joy.” 🤠 She is joining our full-time team, working closely with our Finance and People & Culture departments and supporting our CEO with a variety of initiatives and projects. She hopes to implement her favorite guidepost, “Relish the role of ‘role model” each day!
“I love recognizing positive traits and skills in others and weaving them into my approach,” Olivia said. “I believe everyone has something worth emulating, and I strive to gather those pieces to shape the kind of person who can inspire others in turn.” 💙
Olivia is most excited to work in a nonprofit space surrounded by mountains and wild nature. 🏔️ She’s eager to jump in, and we’re so excited to have her!

Under the Big Top Week! 🎪 Come one, come all! Our campers have talent. This week was all about popcorn and performance as campers entered a vibrant world of carnival acts and extravagant costumes. 🍿
Activities throughout the week included tightrope walking, an abundance of clown costumes, trash bag fashion shows, and so much more!! It was a week of hilarious shaving cream hairstyles, endless giggling, and heaps of joy. ❤️
