Summer Employment Opportunities at Roundup River Ranch

Summer Staff live at the Ranch all summer long and facilitate activities, provide for the residential needs of campers, meet incredible volunteers, go on white water rafting and camping trips, climb 14,000 ft. mountains, and spend one summer making the world a better place.  

Being a staff member at Roundup River Ranch means gaining nonprofit experience, having fun, and cherishing kids and celebrating their successes.

Prior kid experience or camp experience is not essential! Please read below for position descriptions and application instructions. 

Mandatory Training Dates:

Support Team Training (Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, Cabin Coordinator, Activities Coordinator,  Volunteer Coordinator, Summer Volunteer Coordinator, Medical Director and Nursing Director): May 30 through June 3, 2012

Summer Team Training (Support Team and ALL activity leaders and cabin leaders): June 6 through June 15, 2012.

The final day of employment for summer staff members is August 7, 2012.

Summer Staff Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.

  • Complete and submit the online staff application.

  • Submit three professional references with contact information.

  • Participate in a telephone interview.

  • Complete a staff medical form to include:

    • Copy of a physical in the last two years
    • TB skin test within 12 months of attending camp
    • Copy of medical insurance information
    • Record of the following immunizations or date of disease:
      • MMR
      • Varicella (chicken pox)
      • Hepatitis A
      • Hepatitis B
      • Tetanus/Pertussis
      • Menactra (Meningococcal Meningitis)
      • Flu shot
    • Complete, return, and pass the criminal background check.
    • Complete and return a fingerprint card.
    • Complete and return a Colorado Department of Human Services Background Check form.
    • Attend orientation.

New Summer Staff Applicants 

  • Create an account and complete the primary contact information for your account.

  • Click on Document Center on the menu bar on the left side of the page.

  • Complete the Summer Staff General Questions, Summer Staff Education and Experience and Summer Staff References forms under Staff Application.

  • Once completed, you will be contacted within two weeks regarding the status of your application.

Returning Summer Staff Applicants

Once you are directed to our online application, please follow the below directions:

  • Sign into your account.

  • Click on the Document Center on the menu bar on the left side of the page.

  • Complete the Returning Summer Staff General Questions form under Staff Application.

  • Once completed, you will be contacted within two weeks regarding the status of your application.
