Roundup River Ranch is a registered and tax-exempt Colorado 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, governed by a committed Board of Directors representing many sectors and backgrounds from across the state of Colorado and around the country. Craig Foley | Retired | Cordillera, Colorado

Craig Foley is the chairperson of the Board of Directors. He is a former managing partner of Wickham Capital Partners and a founding investor in Chancellor Capital Management. Craig was an early investor with a number of prominent companies such as Starbucks, Costco, Staples, PetSmart, Gadzooks, Noah's Bagels, Jamba Juice, and White House Black Market. He lives in Cordillera, Colorado, and also serves as a trustee of the BRAVO! Vail Valley Music Festival.

Dick O'Loughlin | Retired | Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Edwards, Colorado

Dick O'Loughlin is the vice chairperson of the Board of Directors, co-chairperson of the Advisory Committee, and a member of the Executive and Development Committees. The founder of Hirol Company, he splits his time between Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Edwards, Colorado.

Brenda Allerton | Retired | Denver, Colorado

Brenda Allerton is a member of the Development Committee and chairperson of the Denver Development Committee. A former project manager/client liaison, she lives in Denver.

Derik Allerton | President and CEO, Frontier Securities, LLC | Denver, Colorado

Derik Allerton is a managing partner of Frontier Securities, LLC. Involved with Roundup River Ranch since 2009, he sits on the Finance Committee and lives in Denver.

Pamela Selle Bard | President, Bard & Company | Avon, Colorado

Pamela Selle Bard is the President of Bard & Co., a diversified investment management company and co-investor in Bard Capital, a private equity firm. Pam has served on several boards including The Children's Hospital Foundation, University of Colorado Foundation, Evergreen Mountain School, CU Denver, the Beaver Creek Club and the Vilar Center.

Kathy Cole | Retired | Edwards, Colorado and Longboat Key, Florida

A member of the Advisory and Development Committees, Kathy Cole is a former director of corporate marketing with Mercantile Stores of New York, an organization she assisted for more than 20 years. Also a retired real estate development and management professional, Kathy helped raise funds for Children's Hospital of Colorado and the Asolo Acting Conservatory Theater and previously served as a trustee for the Colorado Ballet. She splits her time between Edwards, Colorado, and Longboat Key, Florida.

Marla and George Coleman | The Coleman Family Camps | Edwards, Colorado and Merrick, New York

George Coleman sits on the Program, Finance, and Ad Hoc Facilities Committees, and also serves as a Camp Volunteer. The owner/director of a children's camp, he has been a national conference speaker for the American Camp Association since 1980, an appointed member of the New York State Department of Health Camp Safety Advisory Committee since 2002, and a founding chairman and current board member of New York Children's Advocates Making Progress. A recipient of the New York State Camp Directors Association Distinguished Service Award, George lives in Edwards, Colorado, and Merrick, New York.

Marla Coleman serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee, as well as the Programs Committee. As an owner/director of a children's camp and the current national spokesperson for the American Camp Association, she also helps train Roundup River Ranch staff and works as a Camp Volunteer. Marla is a recipient of the National American Camp Association Distinguished Service Award – the highest honor in the field of camp. She splits her time between Edwards, Colorado, and Merrick, New York.

Ida S. Daniel | Director of Admissions, Stanley British Primary School | Denver, Colorado

Ida S. Daniel is a member of the Program Committee and a camp volunteer. The Director of Admissions at Stanley British Primary School, she is a past president and current member of the Denver chapter of The Links, Inc. and a board member of the White Rose Foundation. Ida lives in Denver.

The Honorable Wiley Y. Daniel | Judge, United States District Court for the District of Colorado | Denver, Colorado

Wiley Y. Daniel is a member of the Program Committee and a camp volunteer. A federal judge, he is a board member of the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, a member and past president of the Federal Judges Association, and a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. Wiley lives in Denver.

Kathy Ferguson | Professional Artist | Boston, Massachusetts and Edwards, Colorado

Involved with Roundup River Ranch since 2006, Kathy Ferguson serves as chair of the Program Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. She also donates her time as a Camp Volunteer. A professional artist with a background in marketing and civil engineering, Kathy splits her time between Edwards, Colorado, and Boston, Massachusetts.

John Forester, Ex-Officio | Consultant | Saratoga Springs, New York

Founding board member John M. Forester is affiliated with the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps. A semi-retired attorney and corporate executive, he lives in Edwards, Colorado, and Longboat Key, Florida.

Laurie Galbreath | Counselor and Consultant | Denver, Colorado and Vail, Colorado

Laurie Galbreath serves as a member of both the Program and Denver Development Committees. She lives in Denver, Colorado, where she is a counselor and consultant. Laurie also sits on the Board of the Denver Zoo.

John Galvin | Retired | Avon, Colorado

A retired vice chairman and director of The Irvine Company, John Galvin is the treasurer, chairperson of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to his years with The Irvine Company, he was an executive with Aetna Life and Casualty, American Standard, Inc., and the Chrysler Corporation. Named the Beaver Creek Citizen of the Year in 1992, the Avon, Colorado resident has also been involved with the Friends of Betty Ford Alpine Garden, Vail Symposium, and Vilar Performing Arts Center.

Marcy Montana Gates and John Gates | Gates Architecture LLC | Aspen, Colorado

John Gates is an architect and president of Gates Architecture, LLC. He serves on the Board of Managers of Gates Capital Management and is a member of the Gates Family Foundation, a co-trustee of the Gates Frontier Fund, and a board member of Susan G. Koman Foundation Aspen. He lives in Aspen, Colorado.

Marcy Gates has been involved with Roundup River Ranch since 2009. A retired commercial real estate professional, she is a board member of the Aspen Animal Shelter and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics, and American Red Cross Tiffany Circle Member and Disaster Action Team. She lives in Aspen, Colorado.

Georgia Wall Gogel, JD | Retired | Edwards, Colorado and New York, New York

Georgia Wall Gogel sits on the Executive, Nominating and Governance, and Program Committees. A former commercial real estate attorney, she is the chairperson of the Board of Directors for Graham Windham Services to Family and Children and co-chairperson of the Children's Health and Development Institute at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Georgia resides in Bronxville, New York, and Edwards, Colorado.

Lia Gore | Pediatric Oncologist, The Children's Hospital Colorado | Denver, Colorado

A pediatric oncologist and hematologist at The Children's Hospital Colorado, Lia Gore, MD serves as the chair of the Medical Advisor Committee, a member of the executive committee, and a volunteer physician at camp. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Lia lives in Denver, Colorado.

Jane Healy, PhD | Author and lecturer | Vail, Colorado

Jane M. Healy, Ph.D., is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee. An author and educational psychologist, she lives in Vail.

Rick Hermes | Principal, The Hermes Group | Edwards, Colorado

Rick Hermes is the principal of Hermes Group, a building firm in Edwards, Colorado. Along with Roundup River Ranch, Rick is involved with Habitat for Humanity of Eagle County, the Eagle Valley Homebuilders Association, and the Vail Academy.

Ruth B. Johnson, JD, Ex-Officio | Chief Executive Officer, Roundup River Ranch | Avon, Colorado

Ruth B. Johnson, J.D., is the CEO of Roundup River Ranch and joined at the foundation of Roundup River Ranch in 2006. Her extensive legal career has included experiences as an attorney in the oil and gas industry, as general counsel for an environmental company, and as a private practice lawyer. She is formerly affiliated with The Shaw Outreach Team, Grayland Country Day School, and United Way. Ruth lives in Avon, Colorado.

Merv Lapin | Founder, Vail Securities Investment, Inc. | Vail, Colorado

Founder of Vail Securities Investment, Inc., Merv Lapin is involved in land partnerships throughout the Vail Valley. He is actively involved in the community, volunteering his time for nonprofits and commissions including Eagle County Planning Commission, Vail Metro District Board, Vail Consolidated Water District, and Eagle County Recreational Authority.

Sandy and Charles Lloyd| Retired | Dallas, Texas and Beaver Creek, Colorado

Executive Committee member Sandy Lloyd is a former sales executive for Bailey Video Production Company in Houston, Texas, and a retired assistant to the pre-law and pre-med advisors of Rice University. She is a board member of the Houston Grand Opera and supports Colorado organizations including Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Vail Symposium, Vilar Performing Arts Center, and Colorado Mountain College. Sandy splits her time between Dallas, Texas, and Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Charles Lloyd, a member of the Perkins School of Theology Executive Committee at Southern Methodist University, he supports Texas organizations such as Bryan's House, The Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Dallas Performing Arts Center; and Colorado organizations including Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Vail Symposium, Vilar Performing Arts Center, and Colorado Mountain College. He splits his time between Dallas, Texas, and Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Sally O'Loughlin | Retired | Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Edwards, Colorado

Sally C. O'Loughlin is a co-chairperson of the Advisory Committee and a member of the Development Committee. A retired manufacturing and telecommunications industry sales representative, she lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Edwards, Colorado.

Rebecca Riff | Retired | Boston, Massachusetts and Beaver Creek, Colorado

A member of the Nominating and Governance Committee and the Board Secretary, Rebecca Riff has been involved with Roundup River Ranch since 2009. She worked as a management consultant in Boston for more than 10 years, and now spends her time volunteering for nonprofit organizations through Social Venture Partners Denver. She splits her time between Beaver Creek, Colorado, and Massachusetts.

Anne Roberts | Actress and singer | Cordillera, Colorado

Anne Roberts is a former commercial actress and award-winning vocalist. Since relocating to the Vail Valley, she has held leadership roles with other national nonprofit organizations including Canine Companions for Independence and "Road Smart" National Drivers Education Program for Teenagers, as well as chaired the "Help America Rally" to raise money for 9/11 victims.

Bernie and Suzanne Scharf | Real Estate Investment and Management | Edwards, Colorado and Hollywood, Florida

Bernie Scharf ,a longtime real estate investor and developer, Bernie splits his time between Avon, Colorado, and Hollywood, Florida. An avid skier and commercial pilot, he serves on the board of the McCoy Peak Association, Park Plaza Condominium Association, and Riverwalk Bank Building Association.

Suzanne Scharf , a retired executive vice president of North Share Agency and former college professor at Adelphi University, she now focuses her creative energies on real estate with her husband Bernie. Suzanne lives in Avon, Colorado, and Hollywood, Florida.

Beth Slifer | Creative Director and CEO, Slifer Designs | Vail, Colorado

Beth Slifer is the CEO of Slifer Designs. She is the chairperson of the Vail Local Marketing District and sits on the boards of the Vail Valley Partnership, the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado – Boulder, and the Depression Center of Colorado. Beth lives in Vail, Colorado.

 

Carole Watters | Retired | Avon, Colorado and McKinney, Texas

Carole was the director of the Language Retraining Program at the Allendale-Columbia School, and has worked in counseling and play therapy for severely abused children in Dallas. She was a city ambassador for the Dallas Office of Foreign Affairs and has held several board positions, including the Dallas Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and the Advisory Board for the Samaritan Center of the Rockies. She now splits her time between Avon, Colorado, and McKinney, Texas.

Kim Winesett | Retired | Parker, Colorado

A retired fourth-grade teacher and reading education specialist, Kim Winesett volunteers in her four children's schools and sings and teaches with her church. She lives in Parker, Colorado.

Steve Winesett | President and CEO, Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation | Parker, Colorado

President and CEO of the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, Steve Winesett was instrumental in leading the $100 Hand in Hand campaign for Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and has held development positions with Millsaps College, Mississippi, Texas Christian University, and Mississippi State University. He lives in Parker, Colorado.

Alison Knapp | Founder

Allison Knapp is the founder and former chair of the Board of Directors of Roundup River Ranch. The former co-founder, president, and COO of Maynard Electronics, she lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. Alison chaired the Board for the Vilar Center for the Arts and has served on many boards including Vail Symposium, Beaver Creek Resort Company, and Eagle Valley Family Assistance Fund.
