Eligibility Requirements
-
Children must have a diagnosis that matches one of our camper sessions. In certain cases, we can accept children with unique medical needs. Please contact us with specific questions.
-
The child’s illness or condition must interfere with his/her ability to attend other non-medical camps.
-
All applications are reviewed by the medical team for acceptance. Priority is generally given to children with the greatest need.
-
Children must be between the ages of seven and 17 while attending camp.
-
Children must be within three years of active treatment and/or currently experiencing the challenges of a chronic or life-threatening condition.
-
Children must have social skills appropriate for camp, not exhibiting challenging behaviors, which warrant removal from a group activity or setting.
-
Children must have the physical and emotional ability to actively participate in our camp programs.
Selection of Campers
All applications will be reviewed and individually considered by our Medical Director and Camp Director. Decisions are made based on the child’s inability to attend non-medical camps, the severity of the child’s medical issues, whether the child has participated in Roundup River Ranch’s “On the Road” program, and ability to participate in our camp programs.
Roundup River Ranch also reserves the right to make selections and decisions based on other factors deemed appropriate. We request that campers limit their attendance to only one member camp of the SeriousFun Children's Network per season.
