Summer Camp at Roundup River Ranch
Each summer, we welcome hundreds of children for a seven-day camp session at Roundup River Ranch. Children with a variety of medical conditions – including cancer, sickle cell disease, solid organ transplants, congenital heart disease, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, severe asthma and lung disease, immunodeficiency, and other illnesses – have the opportunity to experience the magic of camp with other kids who are just like them. As we grow, we plan to increase the disease groups we serve accordingly.
Some campers arrive never having left home before; others are excited from the moment they set foot at camp. But by the end of the week, all of our campers have formed lifelong friendships, created memories that will be treasured forever, and achieved successes that they may never have thought possible. Our campers laugh so hard their cheeks hurt. They become actresses and actors during Stage Night, fishermen and fisherwomen, equestrians, and more. Perhaps, most importantly, while camp may only last one week, the experiences they enjoy at Roundup River Ranch, encourages the rest of their lives.
