Meet our Campers

kennedy3 Kennedy
On the Road 2008 – Victory Junction
“I absolutely had the best time of my life.”
Though she was on active treatment, Kennedy could do anything at camp, including archery, theater, swimming, arts & crafts and hot air ballooning!
reina1 Reina
On the Road 2008 – The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
“Every second was appreciated and there was no moment I wasn’t smiling.”
Reina made arts & crafts projects for her family, played putt putt golf and covered her entire face with stickers at camp.
jimmy1 Jimmy
On the Road 2008 – Victory Junction
“You helped me realized the ouside does not matter but instead the inside.”
Jimmy befriended a boy in his cabin who was hearing impaired and learned sign language to communicate with him while at camp.
rachelle1 Rachelle
On the Road 2008 – The Painted Turtle
“My favorite part of camp was the encouragement everyone gave each other.”
Rachelle’s counselors encouraged her to navigate the ropes course blindfolded to conquer her fears. Her cabinmates cheered her on from below.
alfonso2 Alfonso
On the Road 2008 – The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
“It was fun, especially the pool!”
Alfonso caught fish and dressed up as a huge bunny for stage night, but was most excited when he got to try scuba diving with the Frog Men at the pool!
ethanmohawk28 Ethan
On the Road 2007 – The Painted Turtle
“I really liked my counselors.”
Ethan was very excited to let his counselors play hairdresser and spike his hair so he would look good at “Wear a Mohawk to Dinner” night at the camp dining hall.
yaa3 Yaa
On the Road 2008 – Victory Junction
“I did things that I never thought I would do.”
Yaa was nervous about participating in the climbing wall and zip line but was all smiles once her feet left the ground! She appreciated meeting others who had some of the same challenges as she did.
kyler3 Kyler
On the Road 2008 – The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
“Camp is fun!”
Kyler was the youngest camper in his group but he might have participated in the most activities from paddling a canoe and catching fish to making a wooden boat for the all-camp regatta.
